Strategy: Guardian Edit

Since the guardian has the same attack pattern as a king, it can be used to pin the king against a wall, and get into position for checkmate, or protect guardian and checkmate king with that

Strength: Guardian Edit

Guardian is able to protect knight-moving units, such as soulkeeper and dragon. It is able to create better trade opportunities while retaining control.

Weakness: Guardian Edit

It begins only protecting behind, then side, and only +++ protects forward, thus, it is tricky to use its lower upgrades to assist powerful units.

Trivia Edit

  • In the v0.43 update, the Guardian got the magic-ranged swap special ability. This turned out to be another significant nerf for the piece, as a Ranger or PoisonMage attacking a minion "defended" by Guardian would now attack the higher valued Guardian instead.
  • If multiple Guardians are defending a piece, the one first in a1-h8 order swaps it. This is very hidden information.
